Solid-State Tunable Lasers in the Visible, Based on Luminescent Photoresistant Heterocyclic Colorants

Abstract

Tunable lasers in the visible can be designed by incorporating perylene dyes into composite glass-polymer materials. Criteria of photostability will be discussed, and possible uses of these lasers indicated.
